Objectives of the Event

The webinar aims to disseminate key results of the Resilient Responders project and to strengthen the capacities of relevant stakeholders in disaster preparedness, crisis response, and community resilience.

More specifically, the event seeks to:

  • Present the project’s core outputs, including training approaches and resilience frameworks
  • Enhance participants’ understanding of psychological resilience and crisis response mechanisms
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange between first responders and institutional stakeholders
  • Promote the transferability of project results across different sectors and organisations
  • Strengthen inter-institutional collaboration and coordination at local and regional level

Thematic Focus

The webinar addresses a multi-dimensional approach to resilience, covering both operational and psychosocial dimensions. Key thematic areas include:

  • Psychological resilience in disaster contexts
  • Stress management for first responders
  • Psychological First Aid (PFA) principles
  • Leadership and decision-making under crisis conditions
  • Inter-agency coordination and communication
  • Post-disaster recovery and community-based support mechanisms

Target Audience

The event targets a diverse group of stakeholders directly or indirectly involved in disaster management and response systems, including:

  • First responders (AFAD, Jandarma, Police, Search and Rescue units)
  • Healthcare and psychosocial support professionals
  • Public institution representatives (education, municipalities, religious affairs)
  • Trainers and capacity-building professionals
  • Civil society organisations and NGOs working in disaster resilience
  • Project participants previously engaged in face-to-face training activities
